A scientist’s path to feeling better (Sandro’s story)

I’m Sandro, the creator of this course. On paper, my life looked successful. But the felt experience wasn’t matching the résumé. So I did what a researcher does: I ran experiments—on myself, with students, and in organizations—testing which practices actually improve daily wellbeing.

Over years of trial, error, and careful observation, a pattern emerged. The people who felt and functioned better consistently worked on the same nine building blocks—not as abstract ideas, but as repeatable, lived practices.

What “permanently” really means

“Permanently happy” doesn’t mean smiling all the time. It means you’re in charge. When you dip, you know how to bounce back. You understand your patterns, and you have practices that restore clarity and energy sooner rather than later.

Why these building blocks work

Each block targets a core part of the “science of you.” When practiced experientially—not just understood—you see durable behavioral change: clearer choices, steadier emotions, stronger relationships, and more meaning day to day.

People who work through the blocks often report:

  • Higher baseline happiness

  • Better, faster decisions with less doubt

  • More clarity and confidence

  • Stronger friendships and family dynamics

  • A noticeable rise in life satisfaction

What you’ll do in this course

You’ll get a taste of each building block through short, practical exercises. You’ll test what works for you, then integrate the keepers into daily life so the benefits stick.

Try it: take stock before you start

  1. Name your baseline. In one sentence, describe how you feel most days (e.g., “foggy but functional,” “fine at work, flat at home”).

  2. Pick one desired shift. What would feel noticeably better in the next 30 days? Be specific.

  3. Write your micro-commitment. One tiny daily action (≤10 minutes) you’re willing to test—journaling a mood check, a two-minute breath, a one-line gratitude, or a values reminder.

Why this works: You’re moving from vague hopes to measurable practice. Small, repeated actions compound into identity-level change.

What’s next

In the next lessons, you’ll meet each of the nine building blocks and try a simple exercise for each. Your job is not perfection—it’s iteration. Notice what helps, repeat it, and build your personal toolkit.
